Default Classic impreza low revs

Hi all, My classic impreza X plate has started to nearly cut out when slowing down. When i drive down my street, I come to a stop to reverse and the revs drop, Its not far from cutting out altogether,It does this a couple of times then it seems to pick up and rev normally. Also i have noticed it sometimes when accelerating hard, It splutters briefly then flies. Any ideas what it could be? Cheers Nick.

+1 on MAF and Sparks (Also try HT Leads too)

Also check the air filter isnt clogged and also the Idle Control Valve too

Let us know your findings!

Maf is the most likely culprit, do an ecu reset and see if the car starts hunting.
Are you running any sort of after market induction or panel filter?
