Question Re: sticky clutch pedal

Car: Version 6 STi
Power: 360bhp approx
Gearbox: factory
Clutch: Stage 4 Competion Clutch (6 puk)
Flywheel: F1 lightened (4.5kgs)
Fluid: Dot 5.1

I replaced the box about 2months ago. OE replacement. Fitted the clutch and flywheel at the same time and broke it in for about 300miles.

All is good, very happy with it, but recently been pushing the car hard and the pedal has started sticking. Its not slipping tho so only really effecting the pedal. It eventually stays about an inch off the floor, but strangly works fine in that position... I let off for a while and it eventually pings back up.

I bled the system and changed the fluid last nite for Dot 5.1 thinking its the heat from hard driving causing the fluid to loose compression.

Still doing it... can anyone shed sum light on this?

Could it be the piston in the slave cylinder?

Would it help changing this, or would the replacement just do the same?

I had this after a new clutch

There was alot of travel before the pedal actually done anything then it started to stay there

The garage just adjusted something at the pedal, cant remember what it was called and it was fine after that

pedal adjustments like that would be for cable clutches, scoobys have hydraulic so thats weird the pedal height was altered on the actual pedal?

Mine does it now and again (about once a fortnight). I just put my toe under it and pull it back up!!

Mine does it everytime I accelerate and hold the revs til 5 or 6k. Using my toe to lift it up, but its just plain annoying.

My bro has the same car as me, with exactly the same clutch and his doesnt do it at all and his is much heavier and springier than mine... ggrrrrr bloody clutch!

It must be sumin other than the clutch...

Yep, whatever they done it worked, made it so there was alot less travel before it actually moved the clutch and returned to where it was meant to be

I cant help anymore than that

I had a look at the pedal and cant see where any adjustments could be made.

Got a couple springs there which could be culprit of whats occurring, but still confused
