Default Removing battery with remap

Hi All.

My MY99 UK wagon has been mapped using EcuTek to run 1.45 bar boost as shown on the graph and showing 1.55 ish bar max on the gauge (a fairly crappy cheap boost gauge), which was great, but........

My battery went flat and had to be replaced, there was no battery in the car for about 24 hrs, since then it will only boost to 1bar max (as indicated on a fairly crappy cheap boost gauge).

My question is, would having no battery attached reset the ECU to factory settings?

And is there an accurate and reliable way of testing the boost pressure myself (baring in mind I don't think my guage is particularly accurate)?

Thanks
Andy

Could your car just be boosting a little more due to change in weather as in hot temps it usually makes less & or will be rev'd more to acheive? As for only 1 bar after battery being pulled out on an ecutek i wouldn't have thought so but then you should just ask your mapper or another 1 on here?

who mapped it as when andy f mapped mine i can turn the boost down by double pressing the rear demister button when i hit boost could be that you just have to floor it into boost then double click the demister button then thats you back upto 1.4

The actual map itself is stored on a non-volatile part of the memory, so the map and target boost settings shouldn't have been erased as such.

Only the IAM feature would have been reset to its 'middle' position (but that will be restored to its optimum setting after a few miles of mixed loads on the engine).

How many miles/minutes or hours, and what loadings, have you placed on the engine since you sorted the battery?

Hi folks

Sorry to butt in with this thread ac1867 but a mate and I just changed my knock sensor and we disconnected the battery to re-set the cel (which worked a treat) but my boost seems of dropped from 1 bar to .8 it just touches on hi revs I have a Greddy boost controller on my dash and I haven't changed it. So was wondering how the boost could drop without re-setting the boost controller. Its set at 37% atm.

Any mods on the car since remap?

99 not possible to have two boost levels, map wont be lost on battery disconnect so something changed on the car be it a mod or a leak.

Is restrictor pill still in boost solenoid pipe workif still on 2port?
