Default My02 sti clutch pedal

I can feel something sometimes when i put the clutch pedal down, only happens on the down stroke and is sort of a click noise towards the bottom.when i have bonnet up and i push pedal in and out quickly i can hear the rod under intercooler moving,is that normal ?i can also feel the pedal click when it happens too.its like this for a mile or so then goes back to normal and comes and goes.is this the start of a fault i need to know about ?

mine does it as well(02 jdm sti) I presumed the clutch fingers were damaged. Im not overly concerned as I plan to replace it anyway but out of interest it would be nice to know if its normal or terminal.

Hi ya mate - what do you mean by clutch fingers ?ive never been overly pleased with the clutch and gearbox on 6 speed sti, seems to ride a bit high but is not slipping at all, just thought it may be pedal or slave thats a bit faulty.

The part if the clutch where the release bearing mounts can be damaged and cause a click as the pedal is depressed.
