Reading the thread from hixxy sti and the fact he's driven to London and back with out issues I thought why not see how far you've driven your Scoob in a single journey.

Obviously ferries/Channel Tunnel is are allowed or if you've done the Lands End to John O'Groats run it counts. The Ring mileage does not count. Please, UK owners only because the Septics and Aussies would blow us out of the water.

So, here's my shot.

Cardiff to Paderborn in Germany in one day then back 4 days later.

Total mileage was 1326 miles (both ways total). Cost for fuel was roughly £180 at the time. And when allowed, the Scoob did stretch it's legs .

 

I did many many miles in one night delivering take aways in the JuSTi cant remember exact amount

 

Done Llanelli to Trier in Germany. Then Germany, Luxembourg, Brussels, waterloo, bruges and home ( return trip was over a few days) no issues apart from the need to fuel up all the time.

 

Miles?

 

Not far! It was running on pluke and Pizza juice .

 

Southend on Sea UK to Tangier Morocco shiped out Dover Calais then Algerciras to Tangier,great long straight roads south of Madrid,one stop overnight.....

 

Damn guys! I've never driven more than 500 miles in one sitting.

 

Neef to Disneyland Paris in my old Classic - no idea of mileage

 

I've done Hameln, Germany to Chatham and back again in a weekend, but also Chatham to Kirkaldy, Fife an back in a different weekend! 960miles ish!

Actually, back in 2007 I went from Barry to Hameln on a Wednesday, then Hameln to Nürburgring and then back to Calais and home on the Sunday = 1400miles that's quite mad!!

 

That's not including a good few laps of the Ring and over a full tank of fuel

 

Not a scoob but did bridgend to san remo 4 night stop over then back home, daihatsu 4trak 11 tanks of derv.

 

God knows, I have it on these laptop somewhere, so i'll dig it out.

Brynna to cardiff return journey = 32 miles

 

1980 miles to the monaco grand prix and back in 2009 (go Jensen)

Avoided all the motorways as toll charges were a bitch, plus the old man is a sucker for his wine so a few detours lol

 

Total comes to 1112 miles (without local travel)

When I was driving back from Germany in 2004, I was driving through Belgium having a play with an R33 GTR, he pulled off and I carried on at c100mph! A motorbike undertook me, pulled in front and indicated for me to pull over rozzers!! In the end he spoke to me in 3 different languages and wanted me to pay a €250 fine! Because I couldn't pay, he said 'I must take your car!'

Anyway, he asked me for my driving licence, I handed it to him along with my MOD90 Army ID card 2 mins later I'm on my way with a stern talking to

 

Whilst I was doing the Cardiff/Paderborn trip it got quite hairy. When we entered Belgium it started to rain. Pretty normal to begin with but as we got nearer to Germany and the final destination it became so bad the Autobahn through Duisberg was flooded.

Some of you may now the road runs below street level with many tunnels and the U-Bahn running down the middle. The German fuzz directed us up the off ramp and told us to make our way up to Route 2.

Anyway as we cracked on we came upon a line of traffic under a railway bridge, they where all sat there with hazards on. I had a look forward and there was a puddle, so I pulled around them and drove through the puddle, not realising that the road dipped down and as my headlights went under the water, the co-pilot Ang, started to panic. I keep it in second low rev's and powered through.

The Germans applauded as I drove off on the other side.

But back on the Autobahn we where down to about 40mph tops as the rain, lack of decent road marking, autobahn lights and completely mental Deutschers wanging past well into the 80's made my co-pilot abit worried as she was nearer to them than me.

 

will work out the miles in a bit but i a nut shell I picked car up from scoobyclinic and drove straight to kircaldy in scotland and then back to caerphilly.........2 days later going to Bromley in kent and then from there onto the nurburgring, hammered the car around the ring for 15 laps and then back to chesterfield for a quick oil change and an engine check then back to caerphilly.......all done it took 7 days with staying nights in various places.......sounds loads and it was but was an awesome trip........was running 596bhp and 552lbft at the time also so it was pretty modified engine wise......will woek out the milage in a bit and calculate it together
