Hi folks,

After removal of my SS downpipe and Nur Spec R system off of my old scoob, I noticed how much the end of the downpipe tapered down at the join with the centre section. The standard SS downpipe is 3" all the way down until about 15cm's from the bottom, where it tapers to about 2.5"
Now, call me stupid, but to me, having a 3" through exhaust system mated to a 3/2.5" downpipe didn't seem the best setup, but I am not really up on that backpressure thing. I Rang up Scoobysport, ordered a 3" all the way through downpipe and sold my current SS dp.
I am going to be fitting the new DP( when it arrives) and Blitz shortly to my STI2, but have just read about a guy with a 3" all the way through custom system that suffered from overboost

Am I going to get overboost with this new setup? If so, what does it mean for the engine?

Cheers guys,

Nick

i fitted a 3" system to mine when it was standard apart from a pipercross induction.
mine overboosted in 3rd/4th/5th at about 3500/4000rpm.
got it chipped to raise/remove fuel cut, and it was fine then
