Last week my partner did a long run, halfway home he lost all gears, but after rolling a little bit they came back we took it straight to the garage but as the gears were all back he couldn't find anything wrong he just said it might be the pressure plate not releasing maybe too hot!!
so we thought nothing of it and carried on but tonight he went to Lincoln from Nottingham so not too far and a few miles from Lincoln he lost second gear and still not got it back any ideas of what it could be or coursing it to happen??

When you say lost do you mean won't go into the gear or go's in and does nothing whilst there?

 

wont go into second at all but every other gear works fine and pulls as it should

 

went out to the car today after its been sat all night and still not second at all carnt even get it when car is off any ideas??????????

 

one of the arms on the selector fork would have broken. It will push into first but not pull into second. Its really common.
