I've bought a 2nd hand Clifford G5 car alarm with an intellistart module.
Now read elsewhere that Clifford alarms have a bad rep......
My old Impreza had an ancient Cobra on it but it was 100% reliable.
Various cars over the years have had a whole host of systems on them, but I have never paid for a new setup.
I'm now wondering whether to bite the bullet and buy a brand new half-decent system.
Anyone got any particular makes/models which they really recommend?

i had a clifford G5 the same as you and only had issues when i bought the wizard CD what ever you do dont get it, it wiped everything and put my car into hijack mode on the road, took ages to sort, other than that they are good or at least that is my opinion, it was only when i messed with it that it went pete tong, i had a Toad Ai606 on my FTO they are good also, i hope that helps
