Default How to identify a Classic STi RA ?

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to tell if if a STi RA is the genuine article ?

Its a 1996 model with the roof vent & DCCD but what abot the engine ? Should this be the one with the red on it ?

Is there any way to tell by the chassis number or any other chassis plate codes ?

I'm sure there used to be something on here that would decode the chassis plate & tell you exactly what it was ???

Any help greatly appreciated !

Thanks,
David

You need the applied model code which is on the VIN plate Post it here and see what happens. Some of the internet sites that "read" the code are a bit flakey LOL

It should read on chassis code GC8D4DD or GC8C4DD. IIRC it will be a 4 door with roof vent. DCCD. Red top engine. Quick rack sticker Normally a limited edition plaque sticker by ashtray with 001/1000.
