I've just returned home after a search for V-power and a working tyre inflator.......

Garage 1, Shell: No V-Power and inflator U/S

Garage 2, Asda: Closed and no inflator

Garage 3, Tesco: Closed and inflator took 20p and then had a hissy fit.....

Garage 4, BP: Assistant ignored me for 10 mins whilst I waited to get change after the Tesco machine robbed me. Drove off in disgust.

Garage 5, Shell: No V-Power, inflator U/S

Garage 6, Shell, No V-Power, inflator... SUCCESS!!

Obviously I didn't ask for V-Power at the non-Shell garages, I'm mad, but not that mad! However it took six garages to find a stupid tyre inflator which is terrible in my book. As for the V-Power I'm not too worried as I have just over half a tank but I'm going to fill up as soon as it's available as I'm betting it will go into short supply.

 

its probably due to all the idiots bulk buying.everywere i go at the minute there are people buying 10 loafs of bread,50 litres of milk,filling there cars to the brim and then filling cans too.there just plain crazy.its not the end of the world,we have just had a bit of snow.

 

No V power at Tesco, ASDA or BP whats the world coming to ?

The garages by mine are fine, but we've had no snow

 

I spotted a couple coming out of my local Sainsburys the other day with four trolleys between them.........

Indeed, I mean shouldn't they all just stock V-Power and be done with it?

 

Well it just shows what being polite gets you I rang my local Shell garage this morning and asked about fuel deliveries and the chap asked why I wanted to know. I explained I was a bit sad and wanted to put V-Power in my Scoob.

No problem, we have a small stock left but we've put the pumps that supply it off, come up give me a shout and I'll switch the tank over so you can fill up

I've now got a full tank for traveling home next week.
