I already have a worn chrome prodrive gear **** and am looking to purchase a new black one.What i am wondering is if its just a straight screw on screw off job or is it more invoved to replace.My scoobs a 2002 bugeye six speed wrx sti. many thanks.

 

Should just be a case of screw on and off. There is a little o ring that you need to make sure is in place or it doesnt fit properly. You sometimes have to pop the little 'P' out of the centre to make sure it lines up when its screwed on correctly. Just pop the gaiter off the bottom and your sorted.

i was actually just going to ask that same question lol i also have a 2002 sti prodrive style with the metal gear **** and lift reverse its freezing and wanted to change to leather but wasint sure if was possible with it being lift reverse and seems pretty tight so just unscrews then yeah

 

AH BLX - sorry both - I just realised u have left reverse. Mine doesn't sorry for the bad advise.
