Default Squeeky power steering

Hi all,

My RB5 has developed a squeek on the power steering - only when cold and it sounds as if a belt is slipping. Fun enough it only started to squeek after i cleaned the engine bay a weeks ago and splashed a bit of dressing around

Are the power steering belts easy to get to and adjust/clean etc?

Its annoying and sounds as if its starting to slip more. Is it worth just replacing the belt?

Cheers,
Dan

I had the same on my Newage Wrx

Needed to change the Power Steering Belt. Also got told to change the Air Con Belt at the same time while your doing the Other.

In total for me it Came too £50. No more than £55 if I remember

Taylor Motors in Stockport. Wouldn't trust anybody else on my Cars

That price was belts Included n all. Took about 20mins.

Quality Service

Sounds the same as mine, it only occurred when cold. Dealer changed the belt at the last service, no problems since.

Thought at first the pump was on the way out, so pleased it was just the belt.
