Default Knocking noise when turning right

Ive got a knocking noise when turning left, i.e turning off a road

My thoughts are thats the cause of this is a CV joint as at the last MOT the CV boot was found to be split and not actually over the CV joint, I had the boot replaced but now after a few months I have this noise.

How easy is it to change this myself and if I paid a garage how much would they charge roughly.

Thanks

Mike

Garage will charge an hour labour, so 30-50 quid. Yes sounds like the cv joint.

edit - obviously plus the part.
