wot would we expect a 400/400 setup to deliver in 1/4 mile drag times?

About 12 seconds depending on how good a driver you are, ET is more critical on the driver technique than the terminal speed.

Too many variables just to go by dyno readings.

Take a look in the Gen Tech section for 1/4mile times by turbo for an idea of the quickest times.

What bob said As 400bhp on a laggy turbo wont beat a 400bhp on a not so laggy turbo obviously lol So you might beat it if you have 385bhp on a 18g-20g rather than 400 on lets say a md or a rotated set up.

Well I managed a 12.4 with a gentle start (2.1 60ft) testing my clutch at TOTB with approx 420HP - that was a classic with a 6 speed box and 4 gear changes.

My best with 380 hp was 11.57 last year on a 5 speed classic type ra...stripped but full cage.

Now with the 6 speed the best so far is 12.00 but still with 5 gear changes, i would love to know how people stay in 4th for the line

Theres so many little things in drag racing that can make a big difference... a friend did a 11.2 at 410/400 last year on a 2.1 at the pod

I reckon a mid to high 11 second 1/4 mile. Ive done a 12.4 in a newage with 350-60hp so a 400 classic must run 11's!?

Lock for launch and open as you travel down strip, before I have auto installed I would open whilst in 3rd.

400/400 is mid 11's on a good set up which a reasonable launch in a classic.
