Default Turbosmart Megasonic

Is the Turbosmart Megasonic a good loud dumper of a d/v ?

Currently have an HKS SSQV one but find it too tweaty, its sounds nice, but a skyline goes past my place and the one he has, dont know what it is,sounds lurvy,a proper whoosh etc, ive heard good reports of the megasonic so thought id ask the people who have one !

so,is it a good one ?

And what should i expect price wise of my original HKS one when it goes on the bay?

cheers

I have the megasonic, albeit on a FMIC, and it is loud. Like you say a proper woosh rather than the chirp of the HKS.

I paid £155 delivered on the bay for mine without an adaptor plate as I didn't need one for the FMIC.

Megasonic is the loudest dumpvalve in the turbosmart range, and yes it is really loud compared to the chirp of the hks.
Regarding if it is a good one, then they are more expensive than quite a few other bov's,but you do get 2 trumpets for more sound and you can adjust the top(tension the spring),and look quite cool in your engine bay(if thats your thing).

Have seen original hks bov's sell between £130 - £160 on ebay

my HKS is on a 95 classic and no FMIC.

Think i`ll get the megasonic and can always sell it if i dont like it i guess, just need to work out how to mount it as looking at them, they dont have a bracket as such like my HKS one

cheers
