Default boost gauge

hi just fitted mt boost gauge its a dynamic one with the smoke glass why cant i see anything until i put my lights on should you not still be able to see the dial during the day cheers

You have wired it to the lighting circuit, find a ignition live to goto instead (head unit or cigar lighter for example) or drive with your side lights on full time

i took the illumination wire from the stereo for it is that no use

even with the lights on you can hardly see it during the day is that the way it is until it gets dark at night

I have Motor Meter smoked gauges fitted and they are easily visible day and night, so can only assume yours are of a lower watt. Mine are a little bright at night, but not enough to dazzle or distact
