Default Lightweight flywheel and stage 2 clutch kit from USA

I am trying to purchase a lightweight flywheel and stage 2 heavy duty race clutch kit from a supplier in the states!

My question is it's advertised as fitting a 'EJ20' WRX Turbo engine, year 02-05Will it fit my Version 4 STI ?
They are a little confused with my vehicle, as they don't have any 2.0 STI's but do have 2.0 WRX's EJ20.

Please confirm someone as I can buy this for as little as £255 + post brand new in the box, a big saving on UK prices.

I was also advised to buy the clutch kit for a 02 - 05 WRX for my Version 4. Seems that's what most people this part of the world do when buying a clutch for a GC8.

Where are you buying this kit from though? Price seems pretty decent

Yep, it would. But wouldn't you just be better off getting a kit in the UK??? eClutchmaster is NOT the same thing as Clutchmasters.

Remember you'll get stung for VAT and import duty when it arrives. With admin charges this could be another £100 or so, add postage and you could be at £400 which isn't much less than an exedy.

Thanks I had forgot about that

However I think it's worth a try, lightweight flywheels here are £250-300 and a heavy duty clutch kit will cost you that again at least.
I'll go ahead and purchase one, maybe we can all benafit from my experience?

Next I shall look in to Turbo's & FMIC.

Take a close look around and you may be surprised

http://www.superhids.co.uk/clutches-...els/blues.html

These are £550, UK supplier so less hassle if it isn't right and a known good quality clutch. I know a guy who imported a Competition Clutch to save money, paid twice for fitting as it just wasn't right and ended up with and exedy, and had no end of hassle returning it.

ATEOTD it is your choice, but worth a thought

The 'eClutchmaster' have 99.9% positive feedback on ebay and many thousands of happy customers
Got to be worth a risk at the low price above + they said they would package it as a gift and say it is of low declare value!

I also have purchased goods from America years gone by for my Skyline's, Supra's & Nissan 300ZX's and found the products superb quality at a fraction of UK prices.

Life is all about risks

Having clicked on the site in the USA, you need substantially more information than is available on the site to know if you are making the right decision or even to know if that clutch is a possibility. Why do you need a racing clutch? Is this a track car or a road car? How important is drivability, smoothness, judder? What BHP/Torque do you want to support. What happens if there is an issue with the clutch, as there may be with a racing clutch in a road car? What is the returns policy?

As above, there are many factors to buying the right clutch. We've had far too many people come to us after buying "paddle racing clutches" from the internet which they find a bugger to drive. More often than not all they need is an uprated organic clutch, which is as nice as OEM to drive whilst handling upto 400bhp.

If you need a advise on what clutch is most suitable for you, drop me a PM or call 01462 488244.

We're doing a special at the moment on a great clutch and flywheel package: https://www.scoobynet.com/trader-ann...l-package.html

A capable clutch is about £300 and flywheels of 4.4 or 6.1 kg that are very well proven are £235. If you are on the limit for clamping pressure there is also a modified flywheel to give that little bit more margin.
