Has anyone made up there own inlet pipes? Im going mafless so was thinkin of making up something using hoses and straight pipes. Anyone done it?

I have made a custom one venting from r/h/s wing. useing flexi-pipe and have made custom filters within the pipework so no actual ' filter cone' is connected
