Default Throttle body gasket on backwards

Hello,

I've just been doing some work to the car and noticed that the throttle body to inlet manifold gasket is on backwards.

i.e. the square extended tab is sticking out to the right hand side (when stood in front of the car).

I haven't taken it off yet, but is this likely to have affected anything.

What's slightly worrying is that I haven't done any work to this and as far as I was aware neither had the previous owners!

wouldnt think it would damage the gasket as the four retaining bolts are evenly spaced so would fit in any position but id defo say its been off as that wouldnt come out of the factory like that mate.

Well having had the TB off and looked at the gasket it seems that it was on the right way round.

There's a shaped hole in the gasket for the (I think...) idle control solenoid which means it can only go on one way round.
