Opinions please

I'm going to be buying a hose in the near future but cant quite stretch to a samco one. Just wondered if these are ok.

Cheers

That's a copy of the Viper item. The pukka Viper one has reinforing metal bands embedded (a la the Samco - to stop collapsing), and costs about £160. The Samco one is over £200 IIRC.

API Dave only recommended Samco or Viper to me.

Have got one like it and is ok, but the standard hose clips cut into it a bit so have put clips on with a totally smooth face, no cut outs for the worm drive,

You do get what you pay for, looking at this and compared to the samco,as joz says the are much stronger internally due to the steel beading.Well worth keeping an eye on ebay/piston heads as they do come up occasionally, and can be bought for 1/4 of there normal selling price.

I brought Japspeed intake hose(its good if you don't run extreme boost,i run on my 1.25bar after remap),if you run higher boost my recommendations its buy Samco due as above say steel beading

as said you get what you pay for with intake hoses.most of them look the same but its how they are made thats the differance.i bought one some time back from a reputable name on here which wasnt cheep and it started sucking shut when on boost.before that i had used the samco one without any problems.

Yes.

API Dave went to an automotive show earlier on in the year and checked out the Viper intakes there, and gave 'em the big thumbs up!
