Default Fuel Pump Fuel Hose

im changing my fuel pump and from when i did it last, i know the part of the rubber pipe that connects to the top of the fuel pump i going to split,so i am trying to pre-empt this and have the fuel hose ready to replace, its the middle pipe, the 2 outer ones im guessing are the return and breather/cannister pipes

so,its 5/16" in internal diamter but how long is it ?

i havent looked properly but need to know if a metre is long enough, where does the rubber fuel hose turn into the metal one, underneath the car,is it obvious or hidden behind the tank and the tank needs to be moved etc etc ????

found this parts diagram but not much use

cheers
