does the STi Version 2 from 1996 has an Closed Deck Block?
And whats with the MY93 Type-RA? Closed Deck?

But now i have seen some Version 2 STis that had an open deck ??!

 

No the block in an sti2 is not closed deck.. Well mines not.. The 93 engine could be. I have been told the only way to check on inspection of the engine is to check whether there is a cross hatch pattern on the housing near the oil filter.. If there is, it is a closed deck block.

 

STi V2 normally came with open deck blocks.
Small percentage of STi V2 RA came with CDB and have seen some with open deck with bore squirters.
Very few of the V1~2 are on the original blocks now,so it a bit of a lottery to whats fitted.
