Wanting to fit oil catch can to my 06 2.5 wrx. anybody know which make to go for and where to get it from . cheers

 

 

I used one of these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...ht_1620wt_1081 ( not from this seller) but it needed a dividing wall and some stainless steel mesh added to encourage the oil to separate.
An internal separation system is essential with a catch tank, otherwise the oil won't separate and it'll all be a waste of time.

I noticed at Brands Time attack that the Cosworth CS400 had a Mann + Hubbel Provent 200 fitted. A nice compact high efficiency catch & separation unit for about £100.
Couldn't tell if the oil drain was linked to the sump or turbo drain.
Presumably this will be on the production cars?

Regarding catch tanks,does the piping need to be bigger than the OEM 12mm stuff??
Was told to use bigger??

if you get a re - circ oil breather system you dont need one.

 

Check the group buy section, you can get a very nice one there by Mad Hammer. It had 3 inlets unlike 99% of others on the market. Scoobys have 3 breathers, but thats not to say you can t-piece and use a twin inlet can
