Hi i am hoping to change the gearbox oil and diff oil in my 2007 subaru impreza wrx and was wondering how much i will need for the gearbox and diff?

Also i assume filling the diff is the same as it was in my classic as in top bolt to fill and bottom to drain?

I had the gearbox and diff oils changed today in my Prodrive 02 Sti...

rear diff 1 Litre Millers oil

Gearbox, just short of 5 litres Millers...

I would think yours is the same...

I tend to use Millers oil too but the chap at the garage was trying to sell me Comma oil? anyone have any experiance with this brand?

 

So i'm guessing thats the same again for a bug wrx

 

no mate the bug wrx has 5 speed and the sti has 6 speed so not same amounts of gearbox oil,dont quote me on this because ive not had bug wrx so not changed the oil in one.i know the 6 speed in my my02 sti takes about 4.2 - ish litres of oil and i used the syntrax in it and am not that keen on it,still feels a bit notchy and stiff so will change it for a better oil like the millers race oil,hth
