All going to plan do far.

Now we need Rooney to see red and to go out on pens, and another glorious failure will be complete.

Just remember the USA beat Spain in the Confederations cup last summer, and were 2 up against Brazil.

They're not mugs.

And we were 1 nil up against Brazil who had 10 men in 2002

I think overall though we will win against Algeria and Slovenia. Would keep Green in goal as that WAs a world class save @ 1.1

Gerrard went missing in the 2nd half and Rooney didn't even turn up (except for one shot.
What a cr*p team England are.

Still, the team's been pretty much the same bunch of no hopers for the last 7 years or so, and as they've won flip all in that time it's never going to be a given they'll do well in South Africa.

Agree totally. Aside from the last 10 minutes it only looked like one team were capable of winning. Aaron Lennon and Shaun Wright-Philips !

Really? If he had been beaten at his near post that would've been the end for the lad, it was a pretty much run of the mill save, where this time luck was very much on his side.

Agree to disagree then. The striker was 10 yards out and hoofed it at full wack. Near post or not, Green had to react quickly to get a body part in the way. Thats my opinion
