Thinking of fitting a Cat-Free Downpipe but am a bit concerned with the quality and fit issues of after market items.

Therfore which fit best, for example :

Have the right amount of holes for the Lambda, and in the right place.
Allows the heat shield to fit back on.
Mates with the greabox bracket correctly.

I don't wanna be messing with welding equipment in order to blank off holes and remake brakets to get it to fit.....

Scott,

They all have the right amount of holes for the Lambda, and in the right place and mate with the gearbox bracket correctly.

AFAIK, most of them require the heat shield to be "trimmed" thought.

Matt.

From what I've read on hear there always seems to be problems with the bracket and blanking off of unused holes.

Or is this just down to poor fit and understanding....

If you have an earlier model car that has the lambda sensor on the header then you have to blank off the lamdba sensor hole in the downpipe. I've changed mine twice (MY95) and this is the only thing that has had to be blanked off. Both have fitted no problem, HKS and Scoobysport.

you would be better off to move the lambda sensor to the downpipe and blank off the holes in the headers!

Question

Where is the Lambda sensor on a MY98 UK Turbo? I have the ScoobySport DP.

So I'll take it there's no fiddling about with blanking holes on my SS DP?
