I have a MY96 UK Turbo with ITG panel filter and Prodrive BB.
I just wondered how much of a whistle the turbo should make.
The cars running rough and the turbo has a fairly loud whistle when it first comes in at 3kish, so I’m suspecting a possible leaky Dump Value.
Can I take the Dump Value apart a clean it, is there any particular test to see if it is the DV.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

If the Dump Valve is leaking it tends to make a kind of "blowing across a milk bottle" kind of noise.

The turbo makes a very high pitched whine and the two sounds are very different.
