Default Another 6 speed conversion question

I've finally gone for the upgrade on my classic, I have a MY00 UK Turbo with TY754vn1aa, and I've just got a TY856wn2ca out of a uk STI

2 Questions

1. Am I right in thinking it is o.k to use the 6 speed with my current rear diff?

2. If I use the r180 diff will I need just the driveshafts to fit to my car? and how much of a ball ache is it to change it?

Your 754VN1AA uses a 3.54 rear diff you will need to check what rear diffyour 6 speed uses as some of the 6 speed boxes us a 3.9 some use 3.54.

If you go tan R180 diff you will need the rear shafts and hubs as well.

Cheers, am pretty sure the R180 that came with the 6 speeder is 3.54.

I've got rear shafts but not rear hubs, am sure I have read somewhere people changing the inner cv joint so the larger spline for the r180 diff on the end of a shaft for a 160 hub.

Has anyone done this?
