s/tb forester g/box is it same as wrx/sti/uk

as above anyone know,as i recently bought a 98 s/tb forester and rd gear is broken...are they interchangable/and are the rear diffs the same as impreza...???thanks...

Code would help, if its ty755vn1aa, then no as you run a rear 4.111 ratio diff. Uk imprezas differ.

I do have a forester box of that code for sale soon.

It runs sweet apart from an annoying whine in first gear?
