Default My bugeye STI Wagon, finally!

After years of looking for one, I finally have a bugeye Sti wagon. I've had searches on eBay the whole time, I check pistonheads daily and even had wanted ads. I was also looking for a v5/v6 Sti wagon but really wanted one of these. Previous owner sourced it from japan and contacted me after seeing I wanted one.

A pretty rare beast and I'm loving it, needs a few little bits sorting but overall I'm pleased to finally have one in my garage.

not sure about loads of mods original plan (before I got one) was to swap turbo, fuel pump, add fpr and injectors plus remap for circa 400 but now I'm thinking just remap as it'll do 330bhp. It's got 3" turbo back system already and when it hits 4krpm it takes off quite hard, I guess that's the vvt as it's not like any Impreza I've owned the way it changes.

Nice car mate and I'll be keen to see what you do with it.

I'm also fortunate enough to have a '52 Bugeye STI Wagon in Blue, I'd be interested to know how many are kicking about in the UK, anyone any ideas?

I heard that they only make about 1000 in total and only in Japan only but they didn't sell too well at the time. I think they look prety fine now though!!

The car went to Germany.

Unfortunately I was on my knees at one point (physically and financially) after my back got so bad, got to the point I couldn't work and I had to sell it.

Best all round Impreza ever IMO. Pace and performance of the newage Sti with the wagon practicality.

always a shame when you have to part with a car you love through circumstances. i loved my classic wagon to bits and was so practical too but the lure of a newage sti was too much. would have loved this car tho as i said best of both.
