Default STi 6 speed swap to MY01 WRX

Hi,

I am going to do EDM MY03 STi 6 speed (TY856WN3CA) swap to my MY01 WRX Wagon(rear diff 3.54). What exact parts do I need to make this happen? I really would like to see simple list with all the things needed. Thanks!

Is Wagon going to cause any extra headache?

I have these parts to start with:
- STi 6 speed (TY856WN3CA)
- STi prop shaft (direct fit to wrx diff?)
- gear linkage

Thanks.

Maybe you need the gearbox cradle too, but I think it´s possible to install with your WRX cradle. Otherwise that´s it!

If you've got the power an STI or better clutch makes sense, IMHO.

As mentioned above you will need the six speed mounting cradle too.
If you're using the six speed flywheel and clutch you'll also need the six speed starter motor as the diameter of the flywheel is slightly larger.

If you're using a 5 speed clutch then all you need is the mounting cradle and the parts you have listed. That is providing the Box has the same final drive ratio as the diff.

Cheers

Thanks!

I am going to use upgraded 5 speed clutch and flywheel that is able to hold my current power levels. I have a 20G setup with all the possible/needed supporting mods. This MY03 STi gearbox has a 1.1:1 ratio so it should work just fine with the R160 3.54 rear diff. I hope that the prop shaft is a direct fit.

I have to start looking for 6 speed mounting cradle..

btw. Is it R160 rear diff in MY01-03 EDM STi?

Is this the mounting cradle? Or just part of it?

That´s the gearboxmounting, no need for it!
This is a cradle: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...item439de24c7e
