I believe EcuTeK supply their own ISO-USB cable when you purchase DD. However if you want something compatible, the KKL interface for sale here will do fine, either with DeltaDash, ECU Explorer, EvoScan and so on.

If you mean a vag.com lead, then yes, it should. However if you want to be certain of something that'll work without any d*cking around, I've already pointed you in the right direction above. £19.53 delivered and you can't really go wrong.

Forget about a generic cable for delta dash - it also needs a licence dongle with it or an Ecutek cable with dongle within it. This comes as part of the (very) full price IRO £225!!
Use an open source logger program and the cable you've spotted.

x2 iirc the drivers are in the Dongle part of the lead, i use my notebook to use DD but have the licensed product.

I think you can use the OS stuff to datalog not so sure on a MY99 as they cant be mapped on os yet?

Not sure what the best OS program is, but I've used Romraider which was fine.

The only way you can tell if your ECU has been mapped is with the Tuner software from Ecutek as the MY99 cant be mapped with OS. So to check if an Ecutek licence is present you will need the relevant software. The DD package is not capable of doing this.

You could always take your car to an Ecutek dealer and ask them to check, they can tell you the date and who mapped it if its been done.

There is a way of mapping the MY99 without Ecutek as somebody in this post has done it however i doubt he will share

That's not quite correct. Boothy, you can use ECUExplorer to check whether the ECU is running a standard firmware image or not. However it isn't as simple as clicking your mouse a couple of times and watching the software come back with a dialog box that says "Yes your ECU is standard" or "No it isn't", you have to do your homework a bit to determine whether what the software is showing you is consistent with a standard ECU or not.

However, it can be done, and if you already have an interface and the software, and have already lifted the cover in the passenger footwell and know what part number is on your ECU can, it will take only a couple of minutes. If you want to know how, pm me.
