Hi.
I need to get the R180 rear diff rebuilt from my scoob. There is a slight noise and evidence of metal contamination in the oil (I'm hoping its just a bearing). The car is going to be off the road for some time so I am in no rush. Can anyone recommend somewhere to take it to in the Northwest of England please and does anyone have any ideas on what I will be looking to pay (worst case senario).

you thouht about buying one from a breaker and what diff ratio is it

 

I'm not sure if they are in the north west but I'd send it to API.

 

Oh yeah..... its a 4.44 R180 out of a STI type R. I thought about buying one from a breaker but you can never be sure of the quality of it can you. Atleast with a rebuild it will have a guarantee.

I would highly recommend APi in Warwick. If Rob is still there he does a cracking job.
He rebuilt the plated diff on my rally car, Its worth the postage!!
