Well, if you think that a baby seat weighs maybe 10 kilos for a really heavy one, and the seats take kids up to 30+ kilos, then I would have thought that you would at least be fine for 50 odd KGs in a crash situation.

See this chair (weight 9.9Kgs, kids up to 36kgs) ...

To be honest, the isofix points look pretty stable and you'd have a job pulling them off with any weight you could fit in the back of the car
