Default 15% off everything plus club members discounts at Opie Oils

We've got a special January voucher code to save you big money across the range at Opie Oils :-)

And as your club has joined up as a member of the Opie Oils club discount scheme, you can use the 15% off offer code OPIESAVER at the checkout to save 23 - 30% across pretty much everything we sell when combined with your club member discount!

The offer is valid through until midnight on Sunday 31 Jan 2010.

What's on Offer?

All oils, lubricants and fluids... in fact everything we sell, with the exception of Splitfire coil packs, Brembo brake discs, pads and upgrade kits!

So, take your pick from across our range of engine oils, lubricants, fluids and service items (wiper blades, spark plugs, greases, aerosols) for everything from day-to-day drives to performance and competition vehicles.

Visit the Opie Oils web site - and don't forget to use the code OPIESAVER at the checkout to get your discount.

Quick links to best Selling Ester Synthetic Engine Oils (members prices discounted with voucher shown):

Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 / 5 litres @ £38.24 inc VAT
Silkolene Pro S 10w-50 / 5 litres @ £38.24 inc VAT
Motul 300V Competition 15W-50 / 4 litres @ £38.24 inc VAT
Millers CFS 5w-40 / 5 litres @ £38.24 inc VAT + free Petrol Power Ecomax One Shot Boost
Castrol Edge Sport 10w-60 / 4 litres @ £33.99 inc VAT

... but don't forget we cater for all cars (and motorbikes) with a full range of lubricants, not just high end synthetic oils.

Can't find what you want, or not sure what you need? I'm always happy to advise and recommend - just give me a call (Guy - 01209 215164 opt 2, or Tim if I'm not available) or send me a message.

Cheers
oilman

P.S. We recently announced that we've added Millers Oils to our range. On top of OPIESAVER discounts and as a special launch offer, all purchases of 5 litres of Millers Oils engine oils currently qualify for a free Diesel or Petrol Power One Shot Boost - offer details here.

Hi Oilman,

Just about to place my order but could you confirm which oil would suit my car best.

Its a 1999 V5 with a fully forged 2.1 stroker engine, 330/330 power at the moment and just for road use.

Was thinking either millers 10w/50, Pro S 10w/50 or Motal 300v 15w/50.

Cheers Ben

For both of you I'd go with a 10w-50, but they are as good as each other, so go with any brand preference you have.

Cheers

Hi,
What grade would you recommend for a 2008 STI hatch with a PPP? The hand book appears to recommend 5w/30. I know when it was serviced they put in 10w/40, which made a noticeable difference to the mpg, big hit during cold starts.
Thanks,
Paul.

Hi Paul

A 5w-30 or 5w-40 are the ones to go for

5w-40, 5w-40 oil, 5w40, 5w/40
5w-30 oil, 5w-30, 5w30 oil

Go for a 5w-40 if you use it on track at all or a 5w-30 if you are looking at getting better economy. There isn't a massive difference between the grades though. Out of those, the best ones are the Silkolene Pro S, Millers CFS, Motul 300V, Redline and Gulf Competition. As it's a fairly new car I would go with a good oil, just to make sure it's getting the best it can, but the Motul X-Max and X-Cess and the Gulf Formula oils make good cheaper alternatives.

Cheers

Tim

10w-50 oil
15w-50 oil

Unfortunately there isn't a lot of mid range choice as those grades tend to be for either older cars or performance ones.

The Motul 300V, Millers, Silkolene Pro S &R are really good oils, worth the money. Use the code OPIESAVER to get 15% off the members prices until sunday

Technically they are the next step up quality wise to the Mobil 15w-50 so well worth a look.

We do recommend the Motul its just that 10w is more friendly on start up then 15w.

Cheers
