Red face Togo footballers shot in ambush

Holy Cr4p!!!!

Gunmen have fired on a bus carrying Togo's football team to the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, wounding players and reportedly killing the driver.

Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor was also on the bus but is unhurt. Speaking to the BBC, he described the incident as "one of the worst experiences of his life".

Being a Man City Fan, I was very relieved to hear that Adebayor came through unscathed!!!

We need him for the match against the Rags. Where we will, no doubt, beat them

It will not be the fault of the gang of Africans who committed the act, it never is is it. It will be 'whitie' for oppressing them.

Africa, give it aid and finance and it is swap/spent on guns and machettes...

And SA has the next world cup - a country with out of control crime, extreme poverty and a racist government run by a man do does not belive rape is a crime or aids is a problem.

I read the Independant if i get a paper at all

I've worked out in SA, mostly J'burg and having spoken to the DMC's (local ground agents) at length over a beer in the evening i am pretty sure that SA is worse than Manchester - i have worked in Manchester as well.

Whilst the SA Government are trying to gloss over the armed car jackings, rapes, murders, robberies the people tell a different story, everybody i spoke to knew of someone who had been jacked, robbed, etc.

NationMaster - South African Crime statistics
A lot of first, second and third highest out of fifty countries.

Looks like rape is the national sport as well

Really think Manchester compares?

You seem to have no ability to distinguish between the general corruption that exists in all developing nations and the absolute stich up carried out by the IMF on the South African economy. The free trade, Milton Friedman economic model has been enforced in the SA constitution through the back door and that has pretty much ruined any chance of the country digging itself out of poverty. Its funny how the white exiting ministers in SA managed to retire rich with big pay offs and fat pensions isn't it ?
OF all the countries to to pick at SA is one where you can pretty fairly blame the Whites for ruining the country.
