I've just got a MY97 UK wagon and am starting on the mods. First is the exhaust. I'd like the hks hyper muffler ti tipped but £580 is a bit much for my first mod to the car. I'm considering the magnex cat back and wondered if anyone has fitted one and had any comments.

 

I've fitted a few magnex systems to different cars 2 of them being imprezas and have to say they are the best fitting exhast systems I've used(IMHO)

Esay to fit and not an over powering sound.

You can't compare the two really the HKS is looooooouuuuuuudddddd and the Magnex is a nice burble but no that loud. Magnex is a great zorst and good build, had one for 8months and replaced with a ScoobySport BB as the Magnex wasn't loud enough. If you've got the money the HKS gets my vote though

 

I have had both styles of magnex b/b.I found the round too small and quiet.to me,the 6x4 looked better and sounded better.

 

My full magnex was v accurately dynoed at 260bhp (K&N filter too)

I have'nt fitted the magnex d/p so can't comment on that one but I fitted the scorpion d/p to mine and it was a perfect fit and it matched up to my magnex system with no problems at all
