Default Help fitting walbro fuel pump

Hi, I have just been fitting my new Walbro fuel pump. My car is a 2002 wrx wagon
All went to plan apart from one thing I am not sure is ok. When fitting the pump in place the part at the top of the pump that the rubber hose goes over is almost touching the brass coloured pipe that it connects to. Is that going to be ok. I am sure I read about making that pipe shorter by making the rubber hose on the other end of the brass pipe shorter, but mine is all in one piece.
Thanks in advance
Andrew

You should be ok and it shouldn't cause any issues.
