Default Advice Brake Upgrade For MY98 Import

On the rear of My My98 import are the old one pot calipers, have tried to fit some 2 pot from a TYPE R and the attachment point are different on the back plate.
Can any one confirm that just changing the back plate and to which year and what, to suit the smaller fitting will be ok.
The attachment points on the calipers i have, have a 115mm from hole centre to hole centre.
Any more infor would be gratefull.

Took the old caliper off this morning to investigate the problem, don,t think a bracket and spacers (cost of around £50) will do, may need to do some moding to the back plate or change it. I have a good engineering under standing and somethink doesn't look right.
If any one has done this mod please post picture.
Does any know if the RA rear calipers, are the same dimensions as the later bug eyed ones.

I'm sure Ian at Godspeed would be able to do something to help you.

He's a busy chap from what I understand so you might have to wait 3 or 4 days for him to ship goods out but I have two brake kits from him on my 98 V4 STI and I'm well happy.

All the two pot rear calipers are the same size AFAIK. I reviewed the Ebay brackets and they don't fit properly IMO. The caliper will sit too high and the pad will overhang the disc by 5mm or so that I calculated. Easy to fit but not quite right.
