can some one help please my fuel pump is not working and i need the car by monday as wife is going into hospital
i can surply tea coffee food and £20 please can some one help as i would be very gratefull
i have put a voltmeter on the pump and i think there is no power

 

Would help if people knew were you where.

 

What year is your car mate ,if it is a classic ,i have a spare you can have ,where you at.

 

check the black plug under the back seat this was the problem on mine .. kids bouncing up and down in the back dont help as the connector was corroded and partly snapped

i think i have found the two relays one clicks and one dos not but i think the other one comes in when the engin is runing
and yes it is a t plate 1999 if the tank waz enpty how much fuel do you need to put in for the pump to work

 

You do not need to put fuel in the tank to test if the pump is working,as you turn the ignition on you should hear the pump 'prime' for 1 -2 secs,then when you fire it up pump should make like a whirring noise to let you know its working.If the car is out of juice then 5 ltrs is more than enough to fire it up back to normal.

 

I have the same problem - probably not your fuel pump if 12v not present on pin 1 of the plug with six pins that plugs in on top of the fuel tank. Switch ignition on and you should get 12V for first 2 seconds.

It probably the blue/yellow wire or it might be black/red.
