Sorry I have asked the question relating to a good garage to take my 56 plate wrx 2.5turbo to in Oldham and did have a reply about someone in Lees but unfortunately I lost the guys tel number and now need a service !!!! So if anyone has the details of anyone near Oldham please let me know....

Also what is the best oil to use I have a 56 plate WRX 2.5 turbo, just I have heard so much conflicting info ??

Asking questions like that is invariably going to lead to more "conflicting" info, as different people offer their own honestly held opinions of work works best for them!

In truth there are a number of oils that work great. If you average out the recommendations you see round here, you'll soon be able to pick one. The most important point about oil changes is probably less what you use and more how you do it. See various comments round here about pre-filling the oil filter and establishing pressure prior to firing.

Incidentally, if you're looking for a garage for nothing more complex than an oil change, the best option is probably getting the raw materials and doing it yourself.

 

You cannot go wrong with a 5w-40 synthetic, loads to choose from 5w-40, 5w-40 oil, 5w40, 5w/40
