I have the RCM one, looks awesome but car ran rough and have been told has to be remapped, cant afford that at the minute so may sell the kit as its just sat in shed. It does look the business though.

Best recommendation, in the absence of you exceeding the measuring limit of the current MAF setup, is to stick with the standard airbox. As has already been said you're likely to need an immediate remap with most aftermarket replacements, and as there's negligible power gained simply through swapping the standard stuff for a cone (probably power lost if you don't insulate properly).

If you have to get one I'd go for the APS 65mm, it's the same diam as the stock MAF housing so doesn't need rescaling. It also takes the air feed from inside the wing as opposed to the engine bay.

Running lumpy is the least worst of the possible outcomes. If you get one that makes the airflow sensor read too lean you could be looking at a blown engine. Unless, as Bluenose suggests, you get one that doesn't alter the airflow calculation in any way. Even then, you're spending good money on something that will generate minimal net performance gain.

scoobys seem complicated to bloody tune...lol have always had vauxahlls and didnt need to do half stuff u have to with scoobys lol
So why are you driving a Subaru now then? Presumably it's because it offers you a level of performance your Vauxhall didn't? That's part of the reason why you have to do stuff now that you didn't then.

Guess he was asking why you think you need an induction kit.

70mm APS everytime. Although they do flow so much air past the MAF they do require a remap after fitting

70mm not needed at this level of tune, 65mm does the same job but doesn't need rescaled. They do make a nice noise, but I'd question the merits of fitting one without the benefits a remap would give tbh.

the standard airbox flows enough air for ppp power level and much more and there is no benefit in changing it.
