Can someone tell me if I am correct in the thinking that a PPP kit consists of Prodrive Back Box, Uprated Fuel Pump (Walbro 255?), Sports Cat or deletion of centre cat?, new mapped ECU?, also can the ECU be mapped again using Ecutek?

 

PPP kit consists of Prodrive Back Box, Uprated Fuel Pump, deletion of centre cat, swapped out new mapped ECU IIRC. This can subsequently be remapped but IIRC the EcuTek is now locked even on Prodrives. I think it can be flashed by another EcuTek dealer but you have no pre-existing license benefits, so it's pay all fees.

If you haven't bought it already, from a purely financial point of view, don't bother.

 

I have bought the car but will be doing full 3" exhaust incl decat + 650 injectors, uprated actuator etc and getting it mapped by Bob if I can

check they actually put in an uprated fuel pump and junk/sell the rest lol !

Bob will be able to sort the ECU but it won't have the license for remapping so if it's ecutek its gonna be 550+vat or whatever bob charges.

 

Thanks for that, I was thinking about checking they had done the pump tbh, I did a mates Blob that was PPP'd and they did on that but you never know
