P reg 2.0 4dr sport saloon.
bit of a long winded one but here goes, help much apreciated though

not long got the car, first noticed on turning that it made the noise of a nackerd drive shaft.. then going straight i noticed a sort of grinding noise.
got home and the car smelt of burning (rubber gaitor?)
i then looked under and seen the gaitor on the driver side drive shaft was completly split all the way around..

my question is: does this whole problem sound like just the drive shaft?
as from past experience iv only noticed a nackered drive shaft to click etc on turning...?

other question is, will the drive shaft from a turbo fit my sport?

 

...anyone ?
