Default help please

got a 1997 uk classic and just fitted a set of yellow 440 injectors since doing that engine turns over too many times before firing when it does fire it puffs out some white smoke,after that it runs perfect no problems and starts fine,untill i leave it for a couple of hours same problem what could be going wrong

What's wrong with the answer you've already got? If you've taken out 380cc injectors and simply dropped in faster-flowing replacements without making any other changes, your fuelling will now be out of whack. Assuming all things are equal you're now overfuelling it by 15% or so.

As David18 says, you need either a remap or some sort of piggyback fuel controller to get things straight.

the ones i took out were 440cc too did not have a problem starting at all changed them because plugs would not clip on as they were damaged,now the problem starting is with this set on now so dont understand why?
