Can anyone help me. Car keeps feeling like it is hitting the Rev limiter at 5000 and then kicks in again at 6000. any ideas what it could be.

Fuel cut Defender? Feels like you suddenly hit a brick wall?

You might be over-boosting. Thats bad.

 

whats the harm it can do , how can we be overboosting, how can we stop it

 

Fuel cut! Have you adjusted the boost at all?

 

Any modifications to the car? if its standard then you have another issue.

dodgy maf if you haven't been fiddling with the boost via a manual controller (a dawes device or something similar).

Start saving.

 

well i have a full exhaust system thats all, and a downpipe. it had a boost controller, which iv taken out as it wer runing on original ecu, i thort the ecu might be cuting it of for protection. but its still doing the same thing, when i have ma foot down and kik the turbo in then it cuts of n goes n cuts of. but when i kik in the turbo nice n slow then press it, it goes. cud it be the MAF. if so, how much would it cost for a new 1 .

 

sounds really like a fuel cut - just get a fuel cut defender!
