on my mates 55 sti , as title both fans and the fuel pump are pulsing on and off when the ign is switched on , starts ok and the fans stop doing this when engine running ? any quick fixes before he travels over?

 

I know the fans pulse when the green connectors are connected under the dash to show car is in test mode, so maybe the ecu has somehow got itself in this mode, maybe an ecu reset may put it right or maybe has been mapped by someone and connectors left connected. Other than this no idea.

 

yes ,a possibility? subaru did some work 2 weeks ago they possibley left them connected.
