Car tagged - Really wierd
#1
This morning I went out to the car as usual. Once sitting in the drivers seat I noticed some writting on the outside of the passenger window (in the ice/mist on the glass).
Someone had avoided the standard 'clean me' and put my chassis/model number on the galss instead. ie: GC8******
Anyone else had this?
Seems a funny way to say I know what you drive.
Is this appreciation or is it someone putting my car on their shopping list?
Buggered if I know.

Sure it was defo on the outside as I noticed that on the rear door in similar weather I get all the car details and where it was delivered to etc....figure it must be the documentation that is stuck to the inside of the car pre-delivery....

I used to get this on a car I bought from an auction. Someone had put the reg and lot number on the side windows in some sort of marker. It must have left a residue on the glass cos the number always showed up if there was a any frost for about a year after I got it.

It is a fair call to make that it could be residue from a vivid marker.
It is just that the car has been here for 3.5 years. I have only had it a month though and not seen many cold mornings.
Not too worried about it. Figured someone would have had to open the hood to get the exact number. And since I am only second owner here, with the other owner being miles away, had me a little confused.
