hi i bought my impreza couple of weeks ago, its uk spec turbo 2000 version 5 i have print outs for 286bhp it has graham goode racing fast road set up bailey dump valve go faster bits pulleys. and its apparantley running 1.2bar boost. i noticed there was a jubliee clip missing from the intercooler hose which connects to the inlet manifold so i put one one tightened it up and the car was very fast compared to when it didnt have one, because of escaping air, but when i reach 4th gear at 4k revs check engine light comes on i read up bought it and its a safe mode on the ecu cutting the fuel so the engine doesnt break. i was wondering how do i sort this out so it does do that? also noticed that the ecu is a a 4 plug but only 3 are plugged in 1 is tapped up and the car has not got a air flow meter afta the air filter? any help would be great thaks

 

Your car doesnt have a version btw, its just a plain old turbo 2000 with a year after it, only JDM STI's had versions (classics only).
Now what year is your car? ie MY00 for a 2000 year, MY99 for a 1999 year car etc
