Default help my scooby's ill

hi there peeps sorry if this is in the wrong section im new to all this
ive got a problem with my 93 sti ,,,, when it boosts to about 4000rpm there is a massive missfire in the engine it almost stalls the car then the " check engine " light comes on does anyone have a clue as to the possible cause of this it purrs on tickover with no misfires at all someone suggested to me a hose had split but im a clueless any help would be greatly appreciated

could be a coile pack breaking down, common problem on the early scoobs? Have u got adjustable boost or is it std??

well you can check the error codes manually that will tell you more Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia under the 'ECU' heading

No such thing as a 93 sti. The first sti`s were limited editions and arrived in 1994.

thanx to everyone i think it is down to a coilpack and your right black v5 mine is a 94 No 156 0f 200 god knows what i was thinking i was stressed lol
